About Brady Chatfield

For most of my life, I looked like I had it together. I had a beautiful wife and 2 kids. I built businesses. I chased goals. I read the books. I optimized everything.

And yet — underneath the success — I felt restless, anxious, and compulsively driven.
I wasn’t lacking information.
I was avoiding something deeper.

My Story

I grew up in an alcoholic family where unpredictability and emotional tension were normal. From an early age, I learned to stay alert, manage my reactions, and perform well to avoid conflict. Achievement became my way of feeling safe.
As I got older, high performance masked emotional chaos. I worked hard and pushed myself, but underneath was anxiety and pressure. When I wasn’t working, I escaped through gaming and constant distraction. Staying busy felt easier than slowing down and feeling.
Eventually, overwork and avoidance stopped working. I hit an emotional bottom where success couldn’t hide the exhaustion and emptiness anymore.
Finding 12-step recovery introduced me to emotional sobriety — learning to sit with feelings, take responsibility, and build healthier patterns. It gave me tools and structure to begin rebuilding from the inside out.

What I Write About

I write about:

  • Emotional sobriety
  • Behavioral addiction
  • Burnout and overperformance
  • Neuroscience and habit loops
  • Spiritual principles for modern professionals

My work blends personal experience, behavioral science, and spiritual awakening — without religious pressure or productivity hype.

Professional Bio

I’m a startup builder and marketing strategist who has spent years helping companies grow through clear messaging and disciplined execution. As an entrepreneur, I’ve launched and scaled multiple ventures in competitive industries, combining analytical thinking with creative problem-solving.

Behind the professional success, however, was a deeper journey. I’m also a longtime participant and leader in recovery groups focused on emotional sobriety and behavioral addiction. Drawing from both business leadership and lived recovery experience, I speak and write about the hidden compulsions that drive modern professionals — and the spiritual principles that restore clarity, peace, and purpose.
